Validation and Accreditation

Background

Several Consalia programmes (for BMW, Porsche, Renault and MAPFRE) are accredited by leading universities such as  Alcala University, Madrid, and Universidad CEU San Pablo. In the UK, Consalia is partnering with Middlesex Business School, part of Middlesex University, to accredit programmes on a global basis. Specifically we have developed an in-company Masters programme for HP, and a Diploma and Advanced Diploma in Retail Banking Management for Santander.

Benefits of accreditation

Accreditation provides value for:

The company:

  • The university quality assurance process means that the programmes from external providers meet key competence criteria on design, delivery and evaluation.
  • Programmes focus on real work based projects designed to be of direct benefit to the organisation.
  • Middlesex University has validated by research the benefits of accreditation as a dynamic tool for organisation, team and individual development.

Individual delegates:

  • Individual learner’s achievements are recognised
  • Individuals are given the opportunity to progress to academic and professional qualifications that are organisationally relevant.

Academic partners

The universities that work with Consalia have been chosen for their integrity, and specific subject expertise, as well as their experience in working in partnership with industry. Training that has been accredited can be incorporated into an entirely work-based learning qualification that can be jointly designed and delivered by in-company training providers, external consultants and the university.

Consalia’s role

Consalia works in a delivery and consulting capacity between the university and the client. Our consultants design, structure and deliver training and manage the accreditation process with the relevant university which best meets the needs of the client.  Training can be designed in a way that it can later fit into an accreditation framework appropriate to the needs of both the client and the individual delegate.

\Consalia consultants can meet with you to look at existing and proposed programmes. Help can be provided in choosing the most appropriate academic or professional qualification framework according to the competences identified. Discussion will cover the information the university needs as part of an accreditation proposal, contextualised within your own strategies for organisational development. Consalia can complete, submit and manage the documentation on your behalf and liaise with the University administration. Programmes can be designed to be delivered either in-house or by external consultants. Consalia will work with the  university Accreditation Board, which makes an academic judgement about the level/quality of learning involved and agrees a credit point and academic level rating for the activity. Consalia will also liaise between the client and the university to manage the ongoing quality assurance, the partnership arrangements and the awards to individuals who successfully complete the accredited activity.

Most programmes are accredited for an initial period of five years, and are then subject to review.
